Zooming in and out improves readability, accessibility, and usability by allowing users to adjust content for better visibility, focus on details, and optimize display across different screens.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • On Mac:

    • Zoom In: Press Command (⌘) + Plus (+)

    • Zoom Out: Press Command (⌘) + Minus (-)

    • Reset Zoom: Press Command (⌘) + 0

  • On Windows/Linux:

    • Zoom In: Press Control (Ctrl) + Plus (+)

    • Zoom Out: Press Control (Ctrl) + Minus (-)

    • Reset Zoom: Press Control (Ctrl) + 0

The keyboard shortcut for zooming in is not universal and can vary based on several factors:

  1. Regional keyboard layouts – Some international keyboards have different key placements or alternative shortcuts that affect how zooming works.

  2. Keyboard variations – Depending on the specific keyboard model or settings, some users may need to use Shift, Control, or Command in combination with + to achieve the same zoom function.

Using your mouse or trackpad

  • Hold Ctrl (Windows/Linux) or ⌘ Command (Mac) while scrolling up to zoom in or down to zoom out.

Browser menu option

  1. Click on the three-dot menu (Chrome) or three-line menu (Firefox) in the top-right corner.

  2. Look for the "Zoom" section.

  3. Click + to zoom in or - to zoom out.
