How does my data get used?

A description of how user data is used by Ovida.

Updated over a year ago

The simple answer is: to generate insights that help people have deeper, more meaningful engagements. So, to help you and other members of the Ovida community. Your data gets used for your benefit only.

Stelios is our smart machine learning engine. He collects every recorded meeting and passes it through a series of data processing engines, creating metadata (data about the meetings). Stelios references this metadata against known patterns of communication, which are derived from a combination of human and machine insight, and ultimately identifies the key moments that you will review in the meeting viewer.

The insights we deliver to you are generated by models built on the analysis of metadata from every meeting recorded on Ovida. So in a way, every user of Ovida benefits from your data, as you do from the data of every other user. With this in mind, we designed Ovida from the ground up to carefully isolate and protect Personally Identifying Information. Your session data, metadata, insights and PII are only ever associated behind your secure personal login to the Ovida platform.

Because our users are both the source of our data and the consumers of our insights, we have no reason to share your data in any way with any other business. And in return for you trusting us with your data, we commit absolutely to never doing so. Our commitment to this drove us to make our first team member a Data Protection Officer.
