Role-play is available only to users with access to the Skills feature.
Mastering new communication skills often requires unlearning unconscious patterns of behaviour, and building new neurological patterns. It's tough trying to do this in real, live conversations. That's where our AI practice comes in. It gives you a safe, low-pressure space to try out new approaches, experiment with different styles, and even make mistakes without consequences. Through role-play, you can repeat, refine, and strengthen your skills over time. The more you practice, the more natural your responses become, so when you’re with a real client, you feel confident and fully present. Role-play is your practice ground - a space designed just for you to grow and master your coaching craft.
How to initiate role-play?
You can start a role-play directly from the Skills interface - no need to know special commands.
Open a skill you'd like to practice on
Click on the lightbulb symbol in the lower left corner, next to the option to add a meeting
Choose the Role-play button
AI will say: I need to know which role you'd like me to play before we can start.
Would you like me to be the:
Coach (demonstrating the skill of inviting responses and accepting them)
Client (creating opportunities for you to practice the skill)
Once you choose, the AI will begin the role-play with you, tailored to the skill you want to practice.
You can also just write something like ‘Can we do a role-play?’ or use the dictate option with your voice to ask for it.
