How to add a new contact?

Adding someone as your contact on Ovida.

Updated this week

Contacts page

The contacts page lists all of your Ovida contacts. You can add a contact directly from the Contacts page by entering their email address. If they are already an Ovida user, they will simple be added as your contact. If they are not an Ovida user, they will receive an email, inviting them on your behalf to sign up to Ovida.

When you add a contact like this, you do not designate them a guest or observer - because this designation exists only in relation to each meeting.

How to add a contact?

You can add a new contact from the Home page or the Contacts page.

Note: if your contacts do not receive the email invitation (because it may be blocked by an email filter), they should follow these steps.

Creating a meeting with someone who isn't your contact yet

You can schedule a meeting with someone who isn’t in your Contacts. They may register on Ovida if they wish, but registration isn’t required to join the meeting. All guests can join meetings without signing up or logging in. As soon as they join your meeting, the system will automatically add them to your Contacts list.

Inactive contacts

Inactive contacts are the ones who haven't signed up yet, and this will be clearly shown on the contacts page - they will be greyed out with status (inactive).

Who can see my contacts?

Only you can see your contacts. No-one else, including team members and team owners can see you contact list.
