We take our users' data and privacy very seriously at Ovida, which is why we prefer both host and guest on a meeting to be logged in. However, there are times when the convenience joining a meeting by simply following a link makes more sense. That's why we now allow guests to join a meeting without having to sign up or log in. We still encourage guests to sign up to take ownership of their data, something they can do at any time, even after completing a meeting.

Discover how to share the meeting link with your guests. Upon clicking on that link, guests are prompted to select their role.

When they click on "Join meeting" button, they will be asked to accept our Data and Privacy policy, Terms of service, and allow the host to record the meeting.

After agreeing to the terms, guests are directed to a lobby. Here, they can conduct pre-flight tests to ensure their audio and camera are functioning properly.

Once testing is successful, guests can proceed to join the meeting.

Things to note:

  1. Hosts must be signed in to start the meeting

  2. Role selection is disabled five minutes before the scheduled meeting time

  3. Pre-flight tests are recommended to ensure a smooth meeting experience

  4. After the meeting, guests are encouraged to sign up or sign in for further collaboration with the host on their session or to delete it if desired.
