Steps on how to change the meeting mode

Updated over a week ago

There are several reasons you may want to change the meeting mode:

  • you created the meeting in the wrong mode

  • you have been engaging in feedback with a guest in Train mode, and now want to get feedback in private from an observer

  • you have been receiving feedback from an observer in Review mode, and want to engage in a discussion with your guest.

Who can change the meeting mode?

  • Meeting host

  • Team owner of a team that a meeting is allocated to

Change the meeting mode as the Meeting host

1. navigate to the Meetings page

2. click the 3-dots menu icon > More details

3. Click on the Edit icon next to the Mode

4. To review the differences between the modes, simply click on each one to read its explanation. Confirm your choice by clicking "Change Mode."

Change the meeting mode as a Team Owner

Team members might have created a meeting in a mode that does not work for your team's use case. Team Owners can resolve this by editing the meeting mode for any meeting that is allocated to their team. You can learn more about meeting modes here.

Note that Team Owners can't (re)allocate meetings to teams - only the Meeting Host can do this.

As a Team Owner, to edit the meeting mode:

  • Navigate to the My Teams page

  • Click on the edit icon in column Mode to change the mode

  • Select the desired mode (Review or Train)

  • Confirm by clicking on Change mode

Warning

Be aware that changing the mode changes who can see your comments and moments, and potentially exposes confidential data. Change mode with caution, especially if you have already added comments and moments to a meeting.
